The Company
The role will be responsible for developing and implementing procedures and systems for generating, analyzing and interpreting timely and accurate financial results, plans and forecasts that comply with USGAAP and Brazilian GAAP and Company Policies to aid decision making and allow operational activities to transact in an efficient and organised fashion.
To define and direct financial and commercial planning, providing business information, minimizing risks, ensuring legal compliance and controlling the Company's operational "cash", ensuring business continuity and development.
Job Purpose
Provide financial information and advice to increase organizational effectiveness and achieve company goals by ensuring legal compliance, minimizing business risk, strengthening commercial agreements and protecting company assets while supporting alignment with MMS values.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master's and/or CPA preferred)
- Relevant work experience working with Accounting teams in a ‘for profit’ company
- Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a Finance and Accounting team
- Strong accounting and finance aptitude
- Strong work ethic
- Strong independent problem solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office environment
- Ability to be productive with assigned accounting tasks and make autonomous timely decisions where risk is measured and backup plan is identified
- Continuous improvement ability to implement new solutions and systems to streamline current processes
- Ability to manipulate, and consolidate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations (including tax related matters)

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Main areas of responsibilities will include:
• Promotion of the Corporate Values (Safety, Compliance, Quality, Delivery and Financial Results)
• Provide value adding Management Accounting support as a Trusted Advisor to the AHS Business Division
• Contribute fully to the strategic development of the company in all areas of the business by making appropriate decisions, providing financial analysis and guidance on all business activities, plans, goals and drivers;
• Assist with optimization of use of our Business Systems
• Develop, maintain and upgrade efficient and effective business processes
• Manage F&A function for MMS Brazil including local compliance
• Manage Brazil F&A staffto develop a high performing accounting team.
• Support and suggest commercial strategies and practices, in conjunction with the Sales Team, providing capacity to support the company's core business, meeting the ever-changing market needs, trends and requirements of our customers;
• Oversee and ensure the integrity of accounting, tax and management reporting, and the review of payroll and tax payable;
• Prepare and oversee financial reports, including monthly and annual forecasts and budgets;
• Present monthly and annual financial results and projections to the Region and the CEO;
• Support negotiations with the sales team, assess risks, ensure compliance with legal and commercial obligations, draft and recommend appropriate terms and conditions to achieve sustainable and profitable revenues;
• Oversee the annual statutory financial audit;
• Provide training, advice and support to Managers and finance staff on business policies and practices;
• Develop, implement and maintain accounting and financial policies and procedures;
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct business analytical work to provide more insight for the business to aid decision making
• Assist Controller Planning & Audit with preparing and reviewing MMS consolidated plans and forecasts for presentation to Komatsu.
• Assist with review and analysis for plans and forecasts for Regional Business divisions.
• Assist when required in audit, compliance acitivities and policy and procedures development.
• Other general accounting tasks and/or departmental projects as assigned
Desired Skills
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other comparable ERP system software
