Decision Network Modeling in a mining operation represents a complex process environment that is inherently more variable than a plant or factory. To address the variability in mining that traditional process maps do not account for, this paper explores an alternate modeling strategy, composed of decision networks, which facilitates improved system flexibility and decision making.
