Automated coal seam identification improves drilling and blasting programs

Two mines improved their drilling and blasting efficiencies by leveraging the ProVision system’s Drillhole Stratification module to automatically identify coal seams, replacing their manual and time-consuming gamma logging method.
As a result, one mine reduced the total time required for their drill-blast sequence by more than 33%. The other improved its dig rates by more than 11%.
