Modular Mining Systems Announces People on the Move

Tucson, Arizona – February 14, 2013

Modular Mining Systems is proud to announce organizational changes in order to meet the challenges of our growing business. With an ever increasing customer base, Modular is creating a new role, Vice President, Mining Services. This role will focus on working with customers to not only realize greater value from their Modular products, but to also help customers analyze and improve upon their mine-to-mill challenges. “Achievement of the new division’s strategic goals is critical to our company’s long-term success,” said Luiz Steinberg, Modular CEO.

Martin Farrow changes from his current role as Vice President, Global Operations, to head Modular’s newly-established Mining Services Division. Martin joined Modular in 2000 and has performed a variety of assignments in Australia, Canada and Chile. In addition to serving as Vice President of Global Operations since 2009, his professional experience at Modular has included business development, managing sales and service delivery and account management. He also played a lead role in our regional business interests in both Canada and Latin America.He holds a BE Mining from the University of New South Wales, Australia.

Eric Davidson will assume the role of Vice President, Global Operations after years of successfully leading Modular’s regional business as General Manager, Australasia. He has worked with customers throughout the world starting with Modular in 1998 as a Mining Specialist after working as a Mine Manager at a major metals operation in Australia. “Eric’s mining expertise, as well as his positive and innovative management style, will add great value not only to our senior leadership, but also to our overall regional operations,” said Steinberg. Eric is a certified Mine Manager and a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy. He holds a BE Mining from the University of Queensland.

Greg Sweeney will leave his current position as Manager, Business Development, to take on the role of General Manager, Australasia. “Greg’s focus will be to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction. His extensive product knowledge, proven record delivering our solutions, and his ability to forge relationships with customers will be a great advantage,” said Steinberg. Greg began his career with Modular in 2000, working in various positions throughout the organization. Starting his career with Modular as Finance Manager, he has worked in many roles including Australasian Sales Manager and Business Development Manager throughout Asia. Greg has been instrumental in developing Modular’s offices to support customers in India and China, as well as developing relationships with mining companies throughout greater Asia.Greg is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA). He holds a Bachelor of Business from Charles Sturt University.
