Update regarding Modular Mining’s continuing Covid-19 mitigation efforts

April 15, 2020

At Modular Mining, we’re working diligently to minimize disruptions in our commitments to our customers related to COVID-19. While our chief concern has been the safety of our employees, customers, and global partners, we acknowledge the need for a clear, effective plan to ensure business continuity.

Our response plan for disaster events such as the COVID-19 pandemic begins at the moment of first awareness. Over the past several months, we have been working to identify risks and proactively manage resources and inventory.

We are taking the following steps to minimize potential disruptions and mitigate the business risk associated with COVID-19. Our teams in supply chain; human resources; risk management; environment, health and safety; marketing; and executive leadership are working together daily to diminish any impacts to our employees and customers by:

  • Monitoring and assessing the new and developing threats evolving as a result of this pandemic outbreak, preparing the company to handle these, and serving as a key source of information for our employees and their families
  • Benchmarking best practices to ensure we take the most effective and responsible actions possible

To reduce the risk of Modular Mining employees contracting and spreading the COVID-19 virus, we have implemented employee travel restrictions, both domestically and internationally. Additionally, approximately 90% of our workforce has transitioned to a work-from-home status, which enables us to remotely provide continued support for all of our globally-dispersed customers without the aforementioned risk of contraction and spread.

All Modular Mining facilities have temporarily suspended visits from customers and vendors. Safety is our primary commitment, and while we recognize that these restrictions may impact our ability to deliver and deploy projects and provide on-site support activities, the health and well-being of our employees and customers remains our top priority.

At this time, our remote-based support services are not impacted, and will continue system-critical support.

We are committed to providing timely updates and working diligently to drive resolution to minimize the impact of this pandemic to our customers and employees. As we receive revised delivery schedules from our suppliers, and travel restriction updates, we will in turn revise our expected shipment, installation, and support dates, and will inform all concerned parties of the changes.

Thank you for your patience as we work through this evolving situation.
