Modular Mining Systems Announces New General Manager, North America
Tucson, Arizona – May 6, 2013
Modular is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Lanz to the position of General Manager (GM), North America. Greg is a customer-focused, results-driven professional with over 15 years of experience in mining and information technology.
Greg is uniquely qualified for this promotion. In his previous role as Manager, Global Sales, he worked to ensure that customers throughout the world were engaged in a professional, consultative manner. Utilizing deep Modular product knowledge and mining experience, he enabled the global sales teams to work with mining customers to unlock value though Modular’s technology offerings. Greg also has prior experience in the North American region, both as an Account Manager and Project Manager, dating back to the region’s inception in 2002. He began his Modular career as a Project Engineer, configuring Modular’s solutions to customers’ specific operations.
Before joining Modular in 1999, Greg worked as a Mining Engineer at Marston & Marston, a geology, mine planning, and consulting practice. He received his B.Sc. in Mining and Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University at Kingston, in Ontario, Canada.
